Meet Financial Qualifications for Medicaid

Meet Medicaid financial qualifications, which include having countable assets limited to $2,000 for a single applicant or $3,000 for a married couple applying jointly. The monthly income limit is $2,163 for an individual and $4,326 for a married couple. Applicants with higher incomes may qualify by allocating excess funds to financial trusts

Post-Name Change: Updating Your Documents

  1. Enroll in DD/HCBS iBudget Waiver.
  2. Live in your own home or family home.
  3. Select a representative (if needed) and complete a Representative Agreement.
  4. Take the CDC+ Initial Training.
  5. Pass the Initial Training Readiness Review with a score of 85% or higher.
  6. Obtain a copy of the approved cost and support plans from the CDC+ consultant.
  7. Submit the application, enrollment documents, and direct deposit form to the consultant.
  8. Allow a minimum of three weeks for processing. 

Background Screening and Clearinghouse

As part of the CDC+ program, participants are responsible for employing their own service providers. To ensure safety and compliance, all care providers must pass a background check through Florida’s Clearinghouse, a statewide screening database used for direct care providers who serve children, the elderly, and individuals with disabilities.
