Tru Printz: Expert Services for Level 2 Background Screening and Exemption Applications

Our Services

Tru Printz provides reliable support for clients seeking Exemption from Disqualification of Employment applications. We offer accurate and efficient fingerprinting and photograph capture services to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Our team strictly adheres to all relevant rules to safeguard children, adults, and the elderly.

Working with Vulnerable Communities

Candidates seeking employment in organizations governed by the Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD), Consumer-Directed Care Plus (CDC+), and the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) must undergo a Level 2 background screening. This process includes a comprehensive live scan fingerprinting procedure, which we perform to meet state standards.

Employment Background Verifications

Tru Printz verifies employment gaps specified by the applicant. At least two years must have passed since the applicant’s last disqualifying event. Additionally, we accept and process Out-of-State FD 258 Cards for those relocating to or entering Florida, ensuring smooth transitions for job applicants.

Level 2 Livescan Fingerprinting

As an FDLE-authorized provider, Tru Printz offers Level 2 Livescan electronic fingerprinting services. These services are particularly valuable for individuals and organizations working with vulnerable populations. We serve various sectors, including veteran-founded organizations.

Local Criminal Records Check

With years of experience, Tru Printz has established itself as a trusted provider of Livescan fingerprinting services. Our success is based on our prompt, efficient customer service, designed to deliver a convenient, secure biometric and Level 2 background check experience for all clients.

Background Check Clearinghouse

Both APD and CDC+ utilize a state Clearinghouse to share criminal background check results with multiple agencies. This centralized system benefits individuals looking to volunteer, contract, or work with organizations serving vulnerable groups. Once your background check is complete, you won’t need a new fingerprinting background check each time you change agencies.

Authority: Exemption from Disqualification

Under section 435.07, Florida Statutes, individuals disqualified from employment may apply for an Exemption from Disqualification. This exemption doesn’t erase an individual’s criminal history but provides eligibility for employment in healthcare or related settings.

To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be lawfully released from confinement, supervision, or any non-monetary conditions for a disqualifying misdemeanor offense.
  • At least three years must have passed since release from confinement or supervision for a disqualifying felony.
  • All court-ordered financial obligations, including fees, fines, restitution, or liens, must be completed.

Individuals listed as sexual predators, sexual offenders, or career offenders are ineligible for an exemption.

Application Process

Applicants seeking an exemption from disqualification must demonstrate by clear and convincing evidence that the exemption should be granted. A review will be conducted once all necessary documents are submitted.
